This December, we have something very special to celebrate.
On one hand, we are raising our glasses to the annual Christmas celebration. Like each year, we are toasting to this wonderful time of year together.
But additionally, today we have every reason to celebrate a bit more than usual. 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of ARCO.
This means, we have two reasons to raise our glasses even a little bit higher.
The evening began at a bar called "Terrasse" in the heart of Zurich.
In addition to a large selection of all different kinds of drinks, we were treated to the most delicious snacks.
We were a relatively large group. In addition to the current team, the Board of Directors and some former employees were present as well. It was such a joyful reunion! The cheerful atmosphere in the room was accompanied by laughter, anecdotes and the clinking of glasses.
As our stomachs slowly but surely began to crave a proper meal, we all bundled up in our woolen coats and rain jackets, grabbed umbrellas and headed out into the storm. Zurich was drowning in rain. Gusts of wind tore the umbrellas from our hands, no one was prepared for the cold. It was truly wintery weather.
Due to the conditions, we covered the distance to the restaurant as quickly as possible. With eyes watering from the cold, empty stomachs and disheveled hair, we reached our destination for the evening: Restaurant Bauernschänke.
A bottle of wine was quickly opened for us and the first course was served in no time.
Good food, good wine and the absolute best company - what more could you ask for...
Throughout the evening we were served several small, lovingly prepared courses. Everything tasted excellent, every single dish was enjoyed to the fullest.
The atmosphere was exuberant, wine was poured and our bellies slowly, but gradually filled up.
The evening was wonderful. While the wintry storm continued to rage outside, we were sat warm and cozy and had the best conversations, accompanied by delicious food.
For my final words, let's raise our glasses: To Christmas, to this successful year. To ARCO and its 30th anniversary. To the wonderful team, without whom ARCO would not be ARCO.
